Good Luck Pat. I share your angwish. We here in Orlando go through the dodge game every year too. Sorry it's your turn this time, or so it seems. You know and I know these things can be unpredictable, particularly the slow ones. Unfortunately this bugger seems to be moving fast. Take care of yourself and family first. Do the best you can for the Vettes.

Thank you guys, VERY much.
My family's moving north very early tomorrow, and the Vettes are already at the same place (near Lafayette) where they survived unscathed from Lili (Fall, 03) and Rita (Fall, 05), both of which were really bad. We'll be OK.
Just another day on the southern coast!

Good luck. Be safe and God speed. In times like this it is best to run for high ground. Discression is the better part of valor.

We don't see that kind of storm here in the Northeast and I sure feel for you and all others in harms way.

Best of luck to you, family and Vettes, Pat.......you might consider moving to the wilds of Eastern Oregon.
The only thing to worry about out here are wildfires, cougars........bears.....oh, and now wolves (within 15 miles of my house), lot of 'hood ornament' deer, occasional moose, but pretty mild compared to what you're going through.

Hope all goes well for you Pat. Looks like Louisiana is going to take a major hit.

I have a house on the Gulf Coast of Florida, so I'm always watching the Weather Channel to see what's up during hurricane season. This year, I've dodged Fay. Gustav is heading your way.

Hanna? Seems nobody knows about that one yet.
