I came home from carilse with a sway bar and bought all the brackets and bushings ect. I installed same when I lowered the car off jack and rolled forward and back to align the suspension it looked like the the bracket were going to break off cause the sway bar wanted to angel down instead of going up. do I need to load the suspension before attaching the bar to links?Has any one encountered this problem. I would appeciate any help.

Re: C2 rear sway bar
All the bolts/nuts associated with the anti-roll bar should be torqued with the car at normal ride height. The same applies to ALL bolts for any suspension component.
Loosen all the bolts, bounce the car up and down a dozen times, then torque all the bolts with the suspension at normal ride height.
A drive on lift or pit makes it easier than crawling on the ground.- Top

Re: C2 rear sway bar
HI By chance do you have the links going in the wrong direction? Looking at the links from the side, the arc in the link looks like a backward C. Its easier to install them with the tires on the ground (not hanging) Phil 8063I came home from carilse with a sway bar and bought all the brackets and bushings ect.
