Lojack NCRS Group Buy: Board help needed

I started another post about theft protection which is showing a lot of interest. I also found the older info below on the web about a discount for group purchases.

Are members interested in pursuing a group discount for NCRS? Can someone at NCRS with authority to act on behalf of NCRS contact Lojack and see if they will offer a group discount?

Re: Lojack NCRS Group Buy: How about ON*

Hello Current and former GM employees.

Is there anyway to get GM to market an ONSTAR retrofit ?

    Just asking.
    Ray
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    I hope you dance

no way they can retrofit Onstar to be installed in an older vehicle, it's tied into too many of the electronics already built into the newer cars and it also has sensors throughout the vehicle for different Onstar functions. It's not just a matter of installing the main Onstar computer, it would also involve sensors in the front, side, rear of the car, other functions tied into power doorlocks, hidden antenna, etc.
It's simply way too complex of a system to try to retrofit into a car that it didn't originally come in.

I love Onstar and would love to have it in my older Vettes also but having sold the systems when I was at a GM dealership I can't possible see how they could ever retrofit it for older cars, not to mention that the relatively low demand for such a use would make it prohibitively expensive to do modifications to the unit to try to attempt to even make it work in such an application if it was even possible.
Plus, if the car was going to be taken to judged NCRS events how would all aspects of the system (main module, control panel, sensors, etc) be installed and yet hidden away enough so that during judging you wouldn't have points deducted?
