    Trico wiper blade inserts 1971

Can someone tell me the numbers on the originals. I think mine are original but with my eyesight I am having trouble reading all the small numbers. Next--where do you find these--I have not seen any on ebay with numbers the same as mine----if I am reading them correctly.

    Hi Paul,
I looked at the blades from my 71 this morning, and had to go buy a magnifying glass. My eyes couldn't have read those numbers even 60 years ago.
The flange on one side of my blades has the same numbers and groups as you listed. The flange on the other side of the blade has -83 (then a space of about an inch) 33 (a space of about 4 inches) and then a triangle pointing down.
The blades have 2 raised ribs close together just below the flanges with the numbers.
My blades do NOT say TRICO on them. The blade holder DOES say TRICO about 1/2 inch from the end which the blade slides in.
I hope this concurs with what you've found.
    Where to find new ones????
    Regards,
    Alan

Alan I agree. Someone who sells Trico blades & inserts (for 30 years) says he has never seen any with 2 ribs--only the Anco have two ribs. Where the original blades Trico===the insert part or only the metal. Can anyone answer this. Where do you get original 2 ribs inserts?

        Hi Paul,
I can't say with absolute certainty that the blades are the ones that came on my car. I drove my car for less than a year before I got something else to drive everyday. I don't remember changing, and can't imagine that I would have changed the blades that quickly.
I do remember that the arms, holders and blades had the same amount of funkyness on them when I took them apart a few years ago. The blades didn't seem to be newer in anyway. This was a car that hadn't seen rain in 30 + years.
I've always felt they were the originals but now of course you've started me wondering. Thanks a lot!!! (I'd put a 'smile face' here if if I knew how)
        Regards,
        Alan

Alan--yours are identical to mine--I think they are the originals.
