1963 Aluminum Rivets on Underbody
I am re-doing the interior on my 63 and found that all of the underbody mounting plates need replacing. They are held together with aluminum rivets. I see that you can buy the rivets and the tool to install them. How does this tool work and is there a better way to fasten them? They go in through the fiberglass and then into the plate on the underbody. Seems like it would be difficult to do it yourself without having someone above to hold down the head of the rivet.
