What would be considerd a normal degree of seal for the throttle plates (butterflys) for holley 2300 carbs. That is, should the plate closure result in a 100% air seal. If I have the carbs off the car and place a flashlight in the carb throat should they completely block all light passage when viewed from below? I have some carbs that seem to make a better seal than others. I am trying to sort out what I believe is a vacuum leak.
