Anyone ever use Jet Hot "Cast Grey" for manifolds/exhaust?

I'm interested in lowering the amount of heat that comes into the passenger compartment on my 67. Has anyone ever used the Jet Hot brand of coatings on their manifolds/pipes? I just got off the phone with them, and they said they offer a "cast grey" color.

Has anyone tried this and ran it through judging?

    CHRIS-
Had some of their product on a 69 B.B. Camaro and it helped (not in grey). Curious to see if anyone out there has tried "cast grey" product. I'll be checking posts cause I'd like to try it on my 74.

I've used Jet Hot coatings on a number of cars. It eliminates the rust problems. As for judging, the cars were all 57-62 where the exhaust manifolds were painted. The paint burns nicely to a yellow shade in the middle leaving the ends chevy orange. Never had a deduction.

Have you tried installing a shut-off valve on the heater lines, so as to block the flow of hot water to heater core?

        Just thought I'd ask....

          Chris:
I've used the Jet Hot and the Cast Grey. Had them done a few years back and still look like the day I got them back from Jet Hot. I've gone thru flight judging on the chapter level 2 times and don't believe i got any deducts. I don't know how regional flight judging would go. As to the heat issue, I don't know how much it changes things. I know there is no more rust.

I wire wheeled my manifolds back to bare metal. instaled them back on the car. Brought the engine up to operating temperature and the sprayed the manifolds with Armorall. do this every few months and they will always look natural.
