Who sells a camshaft kit with lifters for a 435hp 67 vette, and how to get hold of them to order one? Thanks in advance Phil

Re: camshaft
The following web site is very useful for finding OE equivalent spec/quality parts for any OE engine configuration.
You want the cam with 242/242 duration and 114 LSA. This is the correct cam, but the application notes in the catalog are wrong. It is NOT the LS7 cam, nor is it the 3904362, which is the '67-up SHP cam. The only difference is that the 362 cam does not have the rear journal groove. It's my understanding that the F-M replacement has the rear journal groove as did the 3863163 cam used in '65 and '66. The only difference is groove/no groove. Lobes and lobe phasing are identical.
AFAIK it's okay to use the early grooved camshaft in a '67-up block.
Lot's more info (including big input from Joe L. and Clem) if you search the archives for those two OE GM part numbers. You also want to use the last SHP dual valvespring/integral seal setup that was first used on LS-6 - lots of discussion on that issue too, and it all got sorted out. You can also buy the springs from F-M.Last edited by Duke W.; August 23, 2008, 09:19 PM.- Top
