After reading some of the recent posts on paint I got to wondering what all needs to be buffed with todays lacquer?
I understand that the baking process would have leveled a lot of the paint more so than what freshly applied lacquer would have looked like so I'm thinking that I'll have to buff most of the car and it's painted parts to make it look like it was baked...I'll just have to buff more on the upper half and top than the bottom half........... Or am I baked just thinking this way?
What about the painted trim pieces like the grills, wiper door, headlight bezels did they get baked too and should they be buffed??
Another question, was the car buffed before or after assembly? I used to think it was before but I seem to remember reading someplace that all the trim and emblems were installed and then it was quickly buffed?
