    Bubble tops

Some of you guys might have known I was reproing the Bubble tops from the original Green one I have on my 55 Corvette . Well I sold the mold on e-bay and will no longer be making them , a father and son in Arizona will take them over making them.
This is the last one I made and sold to a friend in Germany . %50 of the tops I made went over sea's, Germany, Spain, Russia ,England and one to Canada. Others to private collectors non-NCRS being judged Corvettes. But I still make the 55 shielding now and then because I cant find some one to take that over.

          ROY-
How long did it take you to get the design of the tops to fit properly and find a manufacturer? LOVE the curb feeler's as my dad used to call them, he had them on his 1953 Chevy 4-dr. they were spring loaded. (I still remember that sound!)

I was lucky enough to know a friend that made canopy tops for gliders and knew how to make a mold from my top with out destroying it . He had a large oven to soften the plastic and pull the sheet down over the mold. . Then it was simple cut out the design same as the original and made it fit better then the original around the side windows . The hardware was the biggest challenge finding some one to reproduce them and again a friend did it which we made out of SS. Every one that ever bought one of mine was and is happy to have one. It make their Corvette stand out from the rest .
