    Leaking '57 WCFB

The front carb leaks slightly from the rear plug on the left side. I tried another plug and gasket from another carb but still get the leak after the car has run. I'm not sure what the purpose of these plugs are other than to get access to the bowl and float. Any suggestions?

There for checking the float level is all, if fuel pours out your floats are set to high , the fuel level should be just below the bottom of the hole. This is a 61

Roy: When I remove the plug, the fuel does not run out and the level in the bowl appears to be near the bottom of the hole. I suspect that while driving the level sometimes is higher. It is not a bad leak, just enough to feel the fuel on the side of the carb. Would a little permatex on the gasket or threads of the plug help?
