C-3 Brake Pad Choice

Technology seems to be changing monthly (if not weekly!). I've been looking and reading about all the pro's and con's regarding Organic, Ceramic & Semi-Metallic brake pads for my 1974, L-48 with A/C & P/B and I was wondering what experience / comments this board would have on a choice of these? What's GM offering nowadays? In about another 45 days it'll be time to put her up on blocks and start this Fall / Winter's "want to do list", but I want parts here before I start.

This is only to tell you what I last bought for my 68 driver with manual brakes. I bought a set of brake pads because of a leaking caliper on the left front contaminated the pads. I bought Bendix by Honeywell Made in USA D8 asbestos free. Says on the box less noise, less dust, more stopping power. Bought them at Auto Zone July 19,2006 and cost was $29.88. Says on the box O.E. Formulated.

GM #18028641, aka Delco #17D8. These cost about $30-35 per axle set from Delco dealers.
