Seat Belt tag location

Where do the seat belt tag hook up to for judging? Does the wire run through the square opening of the male end of the seat belt?

Since everyone else seems to be laying in the weeds waiting to take pot shots, I love danger, here goes.....
For the exposed retractors, on the passenger side only, the wire goes through the forward side of the "Hinge", that is the chrome plated wire part of the retractor that lays accross the belt.
I believe this is the only place the wire can go without being wound up in the mechanism.
