In the process of restoring my '58 we tried to match what we were seeing in the fiberglass graining for various places. For example the trunk, kick panels, front door jambs, etc had a considerable amount of graining. During judging I received comments that it showed too much graining and was "not typical production". The car appeared to have never been repainted on any of the interior surfaces, trunk, door jambs, etc.
Heres a picture from trunk where the grease pencil marking is and a picture of the front door jamb (link for C1 Registry picture to see in more detail http://www.c1registry.com/car_images...637112f263.jpg http://www.c1registry.com/weblog_ima...92c06a38f6.jpg). Many of the places showed graining similar to this. Any thoughts? Thanks, Ted
