C5 Runflat Tires

My original tires just passed 30000 miles, and I'm ready to purchase new ones. I'd like to purchase runflats, but I would like to have LESS road noise. Does anyone have any recomendations for a less noisey tire.

I was just reading on the C5 Registry about Michelin runflats that they're just coming out with. It was under Hot News doesn't have alot of info but has a phone#. Good Luck

Many C5 folks I know have been pleased with the Michelins - we will be replacing our 2003's original tires with them when the time comes.

Anticipating the high speed run at Milford during the Detroit Regional I replaced the original Goodyears on my 2000 with a set of Firestone Firehawks. One of the immediately noticeable benefits was a substantial reduction in road noise. Very happy with the Firestones. Jim

I put the Firehawks on my 2006 and what a difference. Much quieter, much less harsh, and far better wear. Best thing is they were much less than the Goodyears.

We use Michelins here at the dealership for replacements. Good tire, good price and low road noise.

if you see excess inside edge wear on the front tires of your C-5/6 set the camber as close to "0" as possible. you will see no difference in handling unless you do track days or autocross your corvette and your tires will not get as noisy

I agree with the prior two comments about the Firestone Firehawk runflats. BIG drop in road noise over the Goodyears. Highly recommended.

I'm in market as well with nearly 40k on the C5...Michelin Pilot Sports are the tires C5ers are finding nice and quiet
