Re: 2004 Zo6 Commemorative
Depending on who serviced the Z06 I would sure check out underbody damage. Some places don't know where to place the lift to raise the Corvette. You can also take the VIN to a GM dealership and ask them to run the VIN and see what is in their data base on the car.- Top

Re: 2004 Zo6 Commemorative
Thanks Guys for your reply. He is asking $25,800.00 for this car. Say's he needs cash flow for his business. Are these cars still going down in value every year?? I am just looking for something I can drive and enjoy, as all of my corvettes are body off restorations still in the works. Thanks again!!!- Top

Re: 2004 Zo6 Commemorative
Typically speaking, Corvette re-sale prices follow a 'bath tub' curve, depreciating in value until they begin to qualify for collector's insurance (roughly 20 years of age). As they near that age, the resale price plateaus and they start to rise in value as they qualify for judging and become recognized as 'collectable' vehicles...- Top

Re: 2004 Zo6 Commemorative
Ron,
I was looking into purchasing a Commemorative 2004 Z06 over the past 6 months. I was hoping to find something with less than 15K miles. There was always 2 or 3 for sale on ebay which made it easy to see what the public was willing to pay. Most 2004 Z06's were getting bids between 28 to 30K for cars that I would consider low mileage cars however most if not all did not sell because of the owners reserve price. This made me think that the public had a different opinion of what the price should be than the owners did. (Which is usually the case.) You have to figure that the one your considering has been well broken in and may need some work in the next 10K miles but if you do the resonable checking as the earlier posters have mentioned, 25K is not a bad price at all. You can get a little basis on pricing on the NADA website at http://www.nadaguides.com/
FYI - I bought a one owner 2003 Electron Blue Coupe with 3700 miles instead of the Z 06. I'm really happy with the purchase.
Good luck!Terry Buchanan

Re: 2004 Zo6 Commemorative
(culled from various sources)
The 24 Hours of Le Mans Commemorative Edition package (RPO Z16) was offered as an option on the Z06 in celebration of the C5-R "1-2" in-class finishes at Le Mans. The package consisted of a special paint color ("Le Mans Blue Metallic") and silver-and-red stripes optionally applied down the center of the car. Special commemorative badging, headrest embroidery, and brightly-polished wheel rims (a first on the Z06) with unique centercaps completed the package. The Z16 Commemorative Edition was also equipped with a carbon fiber hood, saving an additional 10 pounds of weight and received shock damping tuning for improved handling. The Z16 option accounted for the majority of Z06 Corvettes in 2004, totaling 2025 units, with 325 units shipped overseas.- Top
