Whats have you guys used to to seal a concrete floor? Its 6-inches of concrete over metal and more importantly over my work area. Occasionally I get stuff dripping off cars and working its way through the floor.

Re: Floor Sealant
Tom, used real two part epoxy from Sherwin Williams Armor Seal 1000HS. Best to acid etch or shot ping the floor first to give it something to penetrate and hold to. It was very cost effective. It's also ADA slip rated. Recommend searching the archives as there's been lots of good info on floor coatings in the last year. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Re: Floor Sealant
Harry, believe that's paint type material. Only thing that really works well on shop floors is "real two part epoxy- part a, part b". Sherwin Williams can mix any color you want. It comes in 1 and 5 gal containers. Not paint nor water based epoxy will hold up. We did use that to paint an outside cement retaining wall below the brick and it's held up well for that application. Previous post had a how to write up in it or send me an e-mail and I'll send it to you. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Re: Floor Sealant
Definitely the SW Armor Seal!
I used it in an industrial environment, fork trucks, mules, dragging skids, no wear for at least three years and obviously, in all three of my garages.
Local car dealers here use it for there high traffic Customer Servcie areas.
Also, regarding your dripping concern, caulk any seams, cracks and the outside perimeter prior to application. This provides a seamless surface that is allowed to "Float" over the seams, rather than crack at that seam if you don't.
This product is also self-leveling, meaning it will fill rough surfaces, voids left by gravel that has come loose, much easier that having to load a brush and work the material into holes in the concrete.
Wipe with a damp mop and after very harsh winters, hose off and it looks like new again.
