Sorry for the duplicate posting. I started another thread titled "Need your help" that is about the same subject. It was suggested that I include "AC ENG LOT" in the title to get more responses although I couldn't edit the title. Now that I have everyone confused here my post from the other thread: (And thanks again for ANY information about this sticker. I guess I'm officially one of "those owners" that are so anal about finding previous owners of their beloved Corvette)
"Need your help"
As I have posted before, I am just finishing a restoration on my 67 Corvette. I've had the car about 2 years now and have been trying to do a background search (along with every other owner of a vintage car). I searched it back to 1972 and hit a snag. There is a sticker on the drivers side windshield from a parking lot which I believe is at one of the Flint plants. It is for the "AC Eng. Lot" (See pictures at bottom). Rumor, that came with the car, had it the original owner worked at the plant as an executive and had the 67 delivered to him there (I think someone got too close to the 3M spray adhesive). As you can see there part of a name (I think) on the sticker. The letters are: SHOR.
If anyone recognizes the sticker or has any information about it I would appreciate it. The earliest owner I can find is John Zelenko who use to own "Corvette Collision by DJ" a body shop in Flint. It is now closed. I spoke with John and he mentioned some kid brought the 67 in back in 71-72 to get some work done on the passenger door but when it came time to pay for the job he didn't have the money. So John ended up buying the car from him. John's son said his Dad worked around the car with it in his shop for about 25 years or so. I believe John closed the shop in the last few years but not sure when. Both John and his son sounded like really good people.
Thanks again for any information or help anyone has.
