    '62 Tach Boot

On a '62, there's a bellows type boot that seals the tachometer cable where it enters the passenger compartment at the firewall. Did that boot have a retainer? None is shown in the AIM.

The AIM only shows the boot. However, if the retainer came attached to the boot as an assembly, the AIM might not contain the level of detail that'd distinguish the retainer from the boot.

Both Paragon and Corvette America sell a retainer. However, the retainer they sell is too big for the hole in my firewall. I don't know for certain if the hole in my firewall is unmodified from original. But I do know that it was not made smaller.
