    70 vacuum hose routing

Can someone post a picture of the correct vacuum hose routing/ clips in the master cylinder area and drivers side of the engine compartment for a 70 454. I have checked the Assembly manual (Pg k235, 12- A14) and the routing over the master cylinder shows a "Pipe assembly" which I don't see on my car (1970 454, non-power brakes) Were all cars similar or are there significant variations here? Also, is the "Tape" they mention electrical tape or the tape with embedded fibers as seen at the vacuum connections?

Thanks in advance for any info and pics.

Relax. To my knowledge the "pipe assembly" shown in the LATE 70 AIM never made it onto 70 Corvettes...as far as I know, it didn't show up until 71. My build date is G30, next to last day of production, and it has hoses across the upper firewall, with the wiper door vacuum relay mounted near the PB booster or master cylinder. A better view of the complete "pipe assembly" can be seen in Page K236, 12A15.

The tape used to assemble the vacuum harnesses is not the fiberglass tape at the check valve; it is a black plastic tape very similar to electrical tape.

As Chuck mentioned there are differences between 70 vs. 71 454 non power steering but here is a shot of my 71. Hope it helps.
