Can someone identify and give its purpose?

While I had my early '64 inner passenger door panel off, I noticed what looked to be some sort of adjustable screw/nut assembly, but I couldn't figure out what it was possibly used for. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    David

David, that is used to adjust the front window track in or out for smooth operation. Same nut as the rear valence end fastener I think, check out assembly manual for part numbers etc.

Thanks guys....makes sense now. I gather I'm not going to mess with it unless there are some problems with window tracking or sticking while down......

David, check your rear valance panel for the two screws and nuts which hold the lower end of panel, one on each side. Look at AIM, pg D68 #9, if confused by my description. That is the same nut you are questioning so if missing from back panel, here it is.

            Alan,

If I'm correct those two screws are located on the end of the door?
