Any suggestions for a compound to attach the upper and lower trim strips to the dash plate and to attach the dash plate to the bracket/padding on the dash? Thanks.

Re: C1 Dash Plate
The dash plate (aluminum) attaches to a steel frame that has studs protruding from the back side. These studs pass through the holes in the fiberglass portion of the dashboard and are retained with nuts and washers.
The factory assembly spot welds the stainless upper and lower trim strips to the frame. To restore the spot welds are ground off, add the new insert with the stainless trim and epoxy in place.- Top

Re: C1 Dash Plate
Since the trim is not attached to the plate, it seems to me you are suggesting epoxy to attach the trim to the insert and then epoxy the whole unit to the frame. Or, are you suggesting attaching the trim to the plate with epoxy and slide the trim in. Thanks.- Top

Re: C1 Dash Plate
Richard,
The stainless trim holds the insert and frame together, apply the epoxy in the rear at three or four locations. Once the assembly is installed it cannot be seen. Rich- Top
