Joe --- I'm looking for rocker panel moldings for my 1970. Could you tell me the service replacement part number.

The rocker moldings for 1970 were 3966607, lh, and 3966608, rh. However, these pieces were NEVER available in SERVICE. For SERVICE, the part numbers were always GM #3977623, lh, and 3977624, rh. These pieces difffer slightly from the PRODUCTION parts. Why were the PRODUCTION and ORIGINAL SERVICE pieces different (which is EXTREMELY rare)? I have no idea.

Anyway, even the 3977623 and 3977624 are no longer available as they were discontinued without supercession about 7 years ago. Reproductions are available, though.
