    Wonderbar Restoration Question

I have a 58-60 Wonderbar radio that I am planning to get restored and have a couple of questions:

    1. Are all the faceplate kits the same ones sold by Corvettte Central ?
    2. Do judges always or usually pick up on the non-original set screw fastened button ?
    3. If they do pick up on it what is the usual point deduction of the 4,500 points available for the car ?
    4. Would the deduction be the same or less if I use my original buttons with a few minor pits ? I am nervous about rechroming them because the corners get rounded and the buttons rarely fit very well without lots of work.
    5. Does anyone have any experience with Electro-Tech in Minnesota ? I am considering them or Charles Siegfried.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Re: Wonderbar Restoration Question

It's hard for me to imagine that anyone would restore a Wonderbar radio better than Charles Siegfried. He does not repair them but does a complete overhaul and stands behind it for 3 years. The sound/tone is amazing when he gets through. Well worth the money you will pay.
