C3 69 wiper motor

I am trying to figure out what wiper motor I have on my car. The wiper motor decal says 49185XX (XX missing data due to hole in tag); under that 192 2 2 A.

Onthe RH end it has 3 ports pointing downward, on the LH end it has 2 ports pointing downward and one pointing out sideways. Is this correct for a Sept 69 car?

Do I have the "holy grail" of wiper motors, or is this another "boat anchor"?

Any help appreciated.

Jim I'll give this a shot...

I don't think your wiper MOTOR is from a 69. The number you have under the 49185xx is the date and I think shift. 192(192nd day) 2(1972) 2A(I think this is the shift but not 100% sure). Your port configuration of "Onthe RH end it has 3 ports pointing downward, on the LH end it has 2 ports pointing downward and one pointing out sideways" is correct for a 69 so I'm guessing it is original to your car. My guess is that someone swapped out the MOTOR assy at some point or had it replaced back in 72 or early 73. I don't know what the configuration difference would be between the 69 and 72 but it might be as simple as that little foil decal.

For what it's worth my assy part number is 5044731.

Jimmy, the 4xxxxxx PN points to the motor being a service replacement. Factory originals were supplied as a complete assy (wiper motor & washer) giving them a 5xxxxxx PN sequence.

For what it's worth, the 1972 Corvette P&A catalog (Parts and Accessories) calls for a 4919437 wiper motor (wiper motor only, without washer assy)....

There was little difference in the wiper motor portion of the WSW assy in the '69-72 era. The big difference between the years was the washer unit (Corvette unique plastic cover, 5 vs. 3 port washer, configuration of inlet/outlet nipples)...
