Zone & Dealer codes, and Original Price Sticker

I have a 1970 convertible and according to my Corvette Order Copy the order was received 6/12/70. The zone was 44 and dealer code was 329.

I'm trying to find the dealer name etc and when I went to the dealer code site it popped up No Match.

I thought zone 44 was in Mi. but I'm not sure. Can anyone supply me with the info I need.

Also, I hear there is a way to find out original owners name. I'm the 3rd owner & I know the second owner unfortunately she could not help it was her husbands car and he passed away over 20 years ago.

I was told by a member that their is a site were you can get a copy of your original dealer sticker. He didn't know exactly what it was but thought it was something like aa.com or aaa.com I haven't been able to find that either.

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm new at the restoration stuff. I have only done one other and that was back in 1958 on a rolled 1956 vette.

There's no way I know of to find the original owners name short of finding some original documents or doing a title search with your state's DMV. Most DMV's won't be able to help, though.

There is no way to obtain a copy of the original window sticker for St. Louis built Corvettes. Triple A Enterprises can produce excellent REPRODUCTION window stickers but you must provide the information for the car. They do not have information from original window stickers UNLESS the owner provides it to them . They can be found at www.window-sticker.com

        Good Day Tom

Thank you for your help in finding the dealer that originally delivered my car. I'm trying to put together the history and that's a good place to start.

Also, would you have the info about that other database you mentioned? I like to keep files on info sites never know when someone going to need them.

        Thanks again

        Bob

Re: Zone & Dealer codes, and Original Price Sticker

I have a drivers pay miles dealer list from Anchor Motor Freight ( they were a carrier for GM) and it shows 44/329 as Garden City MI the list does not give the dealers names ,just the city and state.

                Good Day

Thanks for your help. Your right the dealer was in Garden City and the name was Gene Merollis Chevrolet on Ford Road. Thanks to NCRS member Tom Hendricks who supplied that info for me this morning. He got it from another data base. Thanks again
