    Headlight motor test

How can I test the headlight motors before I install them in my 67?

    Thanks,
    Rex

Using a 12 vdc source, connect the negative pole to the case of the motor. Connect the positive pole to ONE of the spade connectors. The motor should turn. Now connect the positive pole to the other spade connector. The motor should turn in the opposite direction.

REMEMBER, the CASE of the motor is negative, NOT either one of the spade connectors.

Typically the gears are partially worn from running the motors against the stops when opening/closing. These should be replaced, or at the very least, rotated to an area where the gears are not worn. In use, only part of the gear is used.
