    1967 327/350hp alternator pulley

After searching the archives, most seem to think that the Judging Guide is incorrect on the 327/350hp alternator pulley. This is car has no options. The archives recommend the #3871242 pulley for the alternator which has the 1/2 inch wide belt groove which would work with the 1/2 inch wide grooves in the #3770245 water pump and the #3858533 crank pulleys. Alternator pulley size is 3 5/8 OD with built in spacer.
Does this machined pulley have the part # stamped in it? Does anybody make a good repro of this pulley?
Also since this setup uses a separate fan, is this the 11 blade #3843346 that measures 5 11/16 OD.
    Thanks,

Hi Page -- not sure what the '67 TIM&JG says; heck, don't even have a '67 AIM. But here's some info/pics from an ol' 65 guy. Shots are off a '65 42 amp L76, L79 or, L84 or L78 TI car, 5G7 dated 696 alternator.

The 3843346 fan measures 5.29" OD, which I think is close to correct on an asymetric object. The '67 P&A30 says 5_11/32nds dia, which is very close to my measure; the earlier P&A catalogs called it at 5_11/16" which must be a typo. Notice the gravity paint runs on the upper left quadrant. Not sure if the drilled holes visible in the crotch of the 11 blades is correct for '67, though.

The '65 TIM&JG says original pulleys have a cast appearance; current reproductions have a patterned, machined appearance. Close examination of this one shows very fine machining lines, which could be confused with cast only. Shot of the backside shows the original cad or zinc plating. no part #'s anywhere. Checking the '67 and '68 P&A catalogs, they seem to have omitted reference to alternator pulley requirements for '67 with no C60, no P/S.

What does the '67 TIM&JG call for ?

P.S. (edit) this pulley would not be correct for P/S, or air cars, or 396's.

Here is a photo of my 67 L-79 32 amp alternator before restored by John Pirkle. I am the 4th owner and I am not sure it is original but the date codes are prior to the build of the car. I have not photographed the alternator since being restored.

Thanks Wayne and Rick for the great photos. The 4th edition of the 1967 JG indicates a one piece fan and pulley for certain hp and options( seem to use the narrow fan belt) and a two piece for all others with no other info. on size or configuration. AMI has one page on the L79 option and only shows the crank pulley.
        Thanks

Attached are picture of original cast pulley. The PN is cast into back. You might try to get one from different alternator restorers. That PN is used on other cars also.

          Repos are all machined now.

            Page,

Here's a one piece known original from a 67 327/300 no AC, no PS:

The number on it is 3909815AJ

            Came off this alternator:

            Hope this helps,
