Who Do You Recommend to Restore & Rebuild A Holley Carburetor

Looking to have my LT-1 holley original carburetor restored and rebuild. Who does everyone recommend? Any idea of costs? Thanks for your help. Paul

Great article in Corvette Magazine (Sept 2008) on Holley rebuilds by Precision Carburetor, Inc. in Deer Park,NY. Sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

I have had two Holleys rebuilt that were works of art in both appearance and function. The first one was Jerry Luck but I understand he has/had health issues and is slowly completing what work he already has. The second one was rebuilt by Jerry MacNeish at http://www.z28camaro.com/. Don't let the Camaro thing scare you away. Luck did the original carb for my 66 L79 and MacNeish did the carb for my 72 LT-1, just a couple of years ago. Both are slow and I would recommend sending them your carb, once you talk to both, when you put your Corvette to bed for the winter.

Jerry Luck did great work but he is very slow to respond and very slow in completing his work. I would let him do a carb for me again, though, in a heartbeat. Jerry MacNeish is only a little bit faster, but not much. Again, he would get my work, if I needed it.

Phillip Cancilla at Custom rebuilt Carburetors did my 3367 and it looks fantastic and performed great from the get go. Fast turn around too. www.customrebuiltcarbs.com

Jerry Luck did the 3810 on my '67 Corvette about five years ago, and Jerry MacNeish did the 4053 on my '69 Z/28 about six years ago; both are works of art, and worked flawlessly right out of the box.

          The '69 Z/28:

I would like to thank everyone for their help and input. I am having Jerry McNeish restore and rebuild the carburetor. Talked to him yesterday and am sure he will do a great job.

I have had Jerry do several things for me and what impressed me was his communication and accurate estimate time of repair. Several other well known restorers of Corvette parts have no idea how important that is to the customer.

If you are asking for a phone number MacNeish, do a google search - he comes up right at the top.
