Going to Carlisle for first time this August............. looking for nice rear bumpers for my 66 driver , was thinking new as others have had bad experience with "China" repros.......... Hi Stan,
If you have your original bumpers I'd suggest you bring them with you to Carlisle and get a price for re-chroming them from Librandi's, who has a space in the swap area. They're located in Harrisburg, Pa. and can send them back to you when they're finished. The good thing about having your originals re-plated is that you know how they fit.
They re-plated quite a few parts for my 71 and I was very pleased with the workmanship and price.

If you can have your originals rechromed, you'll probably be more satisfied with the final result than if you purchase reproductions, especially if you go with triple plating. As noted above, you already know that they fit. Lots of complaints about aftermarket fit and quality. Good luck!
