firing order
I have taken the dist out w/o marking position of rotor. I installed the breakerless kit from LL and have the dist back in, but not sure if I am close with the rotor to #1. Where is #1 looking down at the dist cap from above? Which side of the window? It appears #1 wire is on the left side of the window when looking at the window, but the rotor is pointing at #2 which is the next plug wire going counterclockwise. HELP!

look at your AIM, Section 6 sheet 12 or so (I'm looking at a '60 book) Looking from the top, #1 is to the passenger side of the engine certerline, then looking from above, clockwise it's 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2Bill Clupper #618Comment

Here's a photo showing the correct distributor orientation and wire indexing - it's not a Corvette, but it's the same on all Chevy small-blocks.
