Hello,

I recently picked up a Muncie 4-Speed with some Corvette parts and was hoping that you could help me identify what the transmission is originally out of. Below is the identification numbers off of the transmission:

Side of Trans: P0212
Top of Trans: G121221

G means the orig. car (that had this trans) was made in Framingham, Mass. Therefore it's not from ca Corvette.

Joseph -- you haven't given us the maincase part cast # (top line, pass side). Let's assume it's a 3851325 ('64 or '65). My guess is it is probably a '65, in which case the assy date of the trans (in Muncie IN) is Feb 12th 1965. And it was probably installed new in a '65 Chevelle with VIN derivative G121221 around 3rd week of Feb, at the Framingham Mass. assy. plant. [end of month VIN is 22589]

Could also be in a '64 Chevelle, if 'P' date stamped on driver sidecover lower RH corner. If it was a '66 Chevelle, would have maincase # 3885010.
