    62 327ci timing help

pulled the dist to replace points w/LL breakerless set. It's been awhile, have pulley on timing mark. Where is the #1 position for the rotor on the dist cap? I may have 180d it.

Having the timing index line on the balancer on the timing mark you want must also be on the compression stroke on #1; if both valves on #1 are closed (rocker arms parallel to each other), that's where you are. If both valves on #1 aren't closed, you're at #6 TDC on its compression stroke, and you need to turn the crank another full revolution in order to set the distributor with the rotor pointing to the #1 wire tower.
