Bill I think you want what Clem is going to give you, however I just started my Holley equiped Corvette and it had been sitting for awhile. I removed the fuel level inspection screws and using a syringe I injected fresh fuel into the primary fuel bowl up to the bottom of the fuel level inspection sight. Did not have to do it but went ahead and filled up the secondary fuel bowl. Cranked right up, and ran fine.

just remove the fuel level inspection screw and put fuel in slowly thru the bowl vent on top of the carb till it shows in bottom of the sight hole. you want to start off with the fuel level low so you can adjust up. if you are too high the fuel will run out of the sight hole and you will have a hard time adjusting the float down because fuel will be running out of the sight hole. the primary side a good place to start the dry adjustment is have the top of the float parallel with the inside of the float bowl when it is inverted. you want the secondary float to have the tip above level to start with the float bowl inverted since the secondary float level is lower than the primary. there are no specific setting numbers for external adjustable floats

          Clem/Jim:
This motor is a fresh 327/350 and the carb is a rebuilt Holley, List 1850-2. The engine did start but the secondaries flooded the carb to quit. Float stuck and freed in the secondary and now it doesn't run even with the idle set at 1200RPM and then quits. Hard to start and get out to see problem before it quits. Thought that the dry settings would help to get it to run so I could visully see the problem..............................Thanks, Bill
