    67 carpert installation

    Does anyone have any advice for installing new carpet in a 67 convertible? I have enerything "laying" in place except the two side pieces in the rear compartment. Don't want to cut anything prematurely.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

      Hi Ray.

      Yes, the archives helped some, but I was hoping someone might have some pics to post regarding the wheel well carpet.

      Thanks,
      Rex

        Rex: Looking forward to some "lessons learned" responses myself. I'm doing a '65 roadster, using an ACC carpet set that's about 15 years old (long story). I've got them laid in place and the rear side pieces look to be the only major challenge. Very loose fit. My padding kit (LICS) did not cover the wheel tubs, which doesn't help the loose fit issue.

        One area that I couldn't find a good photo of: the rear decklid spring pillar. Just exactly how is that flap is supposed to go?

          Hello Rex;
          Maybe someone will volunteer to take pictures of carpet of BOWTIE Corvettes at St. Charles.
          Had a conflict and was not planning to make the convention, but trying to resolve situation and at least make a few days.
          If that happens, will take carpet pictures.
          Hope this helps.
