    C1 timeing cover help

I'm in need of the front timing cover for a 55 to 58 I cant seem to locate one on e-bay for the early V8, I rebuilt another 55 engine as a spare for my 55 Corvette. Who can I call to locate one , it has the small timeing tag, remember I live in the boon docks no junk yards around here.

    Roy,
I may have one but I'll have to dig in my stash. I know I have a 265 and a couple of 283's so I should have a timing cover too.I don't remember if the 55 is unique or same as 56-58?
What ever happened to the great junkyards that used to be in that area?. I lived in Roseville from 82-86 and found all kinds of great stuff in the hills.
I wouldn't expect you to remember, but we met at some of the local swapmeets, probably American River College. That's what I miss most about the area. Swapmeets somewhere just about every weekend. Here in Phoenix we only have a couple of meets a year. Used to drive to Pomona but don't go much any more.
I'll check and let you know.

Cecil 265 or 283's are all the same , 55 is nothing special, Thanks for the offer , what can I do for you . Swap meets up here are nothing , e-bay is killing most swap meets , my e-mail is braatz@fsaccess.net I know it's not correct to buy or sell parts here but I will exchange a part you need for the cover , that way were not doing wrong (I hope)

Roy, I was under the impression that the tech board was not for selling, buying, or trading parts, but for technical information. Sounds to me like you've stretched the limit here!

Read my post again ( I asked WHO CAN I CALL to buy one) like many people have done, NOT asking any one to SELL me one. Cecil was kind in offering one of his (so are we both bad people now) I knew I would get this response
