    Grand Sport Corvettes

Does anyone know when they put the 427 into the Grand Sport Corvettes? Also, which ones got them? Also, would anyone have any pictures of the 427 that is in a Grand Sport?

    Thanks

i know that geo winterstein's GS had a BBC at the cumberland races because they needed a fan belt and don yenko knew i had a BB corvette so he sent them over to borrow mine so they could practice. geo's mechanic last name was mayberry if i remember correctly. this the GS with the top cut off and i think it was the one pictured on the fram oil filter box back in the day

      Jeremy -

After the Grand Sports were "sold" and no longer under Zora's control, each of them had all manner of multiple engine transplants over the next couple of years, depending on what the owners/racers wanted from them. Here's a photo of a typical later Traco 427 installation in GS #001.

The GS IIb had a 327 experimental and a Corvair running gear, I am not sure when the "Hall" dry sump engines came out, i suspect 1966-7 RDR
