Were the conv. top tabs snapped in place when the top was up or just down? The owners manual says to snap in place when you put top down and to unsnap to raise top but doesn't spell out what to do with top up. Thanks Terry Robertson

I don't believe you can snap the tabs in place with the soft top up as the top frame brackets are in the way. Tabs were snapped in place with soft top down or hard top installed. Rich

My tabs will snap in place with the top up. They fold up a little where they pass the top frame but they do reach the snap. They are not original, but were installed many years ago.

Thanks Guys mine snap into place with the top up but the tabs are starting to get a pretty good kink in them from the top frame. The ones that were on my '62 years ago did the same thing. I think I'll unsnap them to keep them straight. Thanks again.
