Pheasent Run Inn St Charles IL. They can also book you into the Hilton on other side of hwy. Also own 8 other motels/hotels in St Charles can give you best rate.

I stayed at Hilton across road. Two nights, parked my car and did not have to drive anywhere. Super nice no complaints, wonderful breakfast buffet.

Craig,

The answer depends on what kind of judging you want.

The schedule for the year comes out in late January or February.

This year Survivor(TM) Judging was on Thursday, Certification(TM) (Gold, Silver, Bronze) Judging was on Friday. Awards for each of those was on Saturday, but one doesn't have to attend the awards event -- but it is nice if it doesn't rain and it isn't too hot. The Awards event is no extra charge.

Most near-by hotels have a minimum stay, so check with them. Also ask them what the dates are for next year, or check the Bloomington Gold(TM) web site. The event has traditionally been the last full weekend in June, but there have been a few noteable exceptions to that.

If you go for the gold on Friday and that was all you cared to do you would not need to stay any nights. Three nights would be best.
