    Mystery Object

    Hi,

Now before you laugh, you have to remember I live in England and there are very few C1 Corvettes here so sorry if I'm asking a stupid question. Attached is a picture of an electrical item on the bulkhead that I have seen in photos of C1 engine bays but it is not fitted to my 56, it does have the holes though where it could be mounted. Presumably it is a resistor of some sort, can you tell me what it is please?

    Thanks,
    Paul.

Paul: this would be a relay switch for a power folding top ,also power windows. Most all 1956 corvettes had factory installed power tops.

      Paul,

Steve nailed it...it's the circuit breaker for the power top/power windows

BTW, there IS an active NCRS Chapter in the UK with resources (both technical + parts) to help you in the care and feeding of 'baby'. I'd consider joining the Chapter and 'playing' with your fellow NCRS mates in JOE (Jolly Old England)!

Weather it had PW or PT not installed 56 and early 57 showed dimples on the fire wall for locating the fuse

The car pictured could use a big AC fuel filter.
