54 oil pan

who has some p ics of original oil pan for 54, would like to see what I need to look for Thanks Brad,Learned a valuable lesson on putting a car together for a judging, concern yourself even with all the small stuff and not just the nos drivetrain stuff cause the small stuff can and did keep me from top flight. All easy fixes for next show but now there is a have to other show, show was long but a lot of fun people were met. Thanks again Brad

Big stuff is $$ but easy to find , it's the small stuff that's hard and rare always loose points on. I always had small stuff to sell years ago but no one would buy them if it wasnt in the JM . even today cant sell anything not being judged . now I'm into 55's only and still the same problem. Sorry I have no pic of the oil pan but some one should. Vary few 53-55 people here on the forum mostly C2

Guess no one has any pics or ideas on 54 oil pans, isnt there someone who modifies those to make correct, anybody? Thanks Roy for your responce. Brad

I only have one pic of a 54 oil pan - and it is from the underside.

As I recall, the Corvette oil pans had an extra step in them to clear the steering. Hope this helps a bit.

Brad, if your looking to buy an original 54 oil pan, keep in mind that it is unique to 53 and 54 Vette. The Passeger pan will bolt up, but the Vette one has an extra relief at the front to allow the tie rods to clear. I was tricked early on from an unscrupulous vendor that sold me a passenger one, and it didn't work. Then she didn't want to refund me the money

As an aside, if u get a passenger one, Grossmuellers can modify it for you to fit the Vette. Not sure how good it looks, but I hear that it works
