How does one remove the 3 knobs from the heater/clock panel controls? Also, the knob from the "Lights" shaft. Thanks.

Re: CI Heater/Clock Panel Knobs
On my 1960, the original knobs were fit on similar to compression fit; not meant to remove as the shaft had barbs on it that prevented removal. I crushed the plastic and removed all of the old knob and purchased repro and it has a small set screw on the side.
On the bottom of the light switch is a round button, spring loaded. Push up on the buttom and pull out the light switch knob (along with the shaft).- Top

Re: CI Heater/Clock Panel Knobs
The Air and Temp cable knobs are pressed on the serrated shaft on the cable, and aren't removable (without damaging them); the cables were received with the knobs already on them, and are removed by unscrewing the nut on the back side of the faceplate and disconnecting the other end of the cable from the heater, and pulling the cable through the hole.
The fan switch knob is retained with a setscrew.
The headlight switch knob isn't removable either - it's part of the actuating rod; press in the little spring-loaded plunger on the headlight switch body, pull out on the knob, and the knob/rod will come out of the switch.- Top
