1967 Big Block Hood Stripe Over-spray

Hello All... I understand there is over-spray on the back side of the hood on 1967 Big Block Stinger hoods right at the cowl area. I am getting ready for the Nats and would like to know where I can get some details on how to duplicate this. My car is Maroon with a black stinger. I am not looking for how to paint the stinger just the over-spray pattern on the underside of the hood where it comes over the cowl. Thanks, Rick

I think some light overspray in that area is likely, but I dont think I would really try to duplicate it.

Rick, I have uploaded what is supposed to be a a 67 survivor BB coupe Hood shot, showing the overspray. This gives you one example of what the overspray might typically look like from the factory. Hope this helps. Todd

Hello Richard
In shooting the rear lip of the hood scoop, some of the overspray would settle on the rear underhood reinforcement.
We have not seen overspray on the cowl of original cars.

Trying to get the overspray correct on my '67
Have seen overspray ranging from just over the rear edge to down 1 - 2 "s
Is there a right and wrong amount ?
Would the overspray on the hood frame be covered by the blackout procedure?
