Re: 1967 Rally Wheels "DC" vs "DG"
Mike,
I hope I can help clarify for you. First, I should have said body build date, not car build date
This page is from a survey that was done by a NCRS member some time back.
The way I interpret the chart is the first three columns, "Model Year", "Build Date", and "Vin#", is they apply to the body. So the body date B02 would be the body build date off the trim tag.(A=Aug, B-Sept, etc). The remaining columns shown after the vin# apply to the wheel.
So, for example, body #893 built on (B15)September 15th, that car had B code wheels. Body #1596 built on (B23)September 23rd had 4 "B" code wheels and 1 "DC" code wheel.
Body #9778 built on (G03)February 3, 1967 had 5 "DG" coded wheels.
As for all other bolt pieces and cast pieces, A was January, B was Feb, etc. like you say.
Let me know if I have helped.
Thanks,
Doug Lee
