    1968 SB Exhaust Manifold

I have searched the archives and looked at every vendors catalog but can't seem to find who sells a correct SB exhaust manifold for my 327.

Can someone give me a tip on where I can purchase a new one.

    Thanks,

    KT

'Correct' and 'new' may be at odds with each other!

The original cast numbers were 3872765, LH and 3872778, RH. But, these were used for a number of years and tiny differences in configuration (size placement of font, AIR or non-AIR, amount of 'flash' at parting lines) act to differentiate factory originals from service replacement parts...

Check out the Paragon catalog for current day reproductions, but don't be too surprised if you wind up with small originality deductions on the judging field. I'd venture to guess that most who are serious about the restoration process gather used originals from scrap yards from other Chevy car/truck engines of the era that happened to use the same part(s)...

      Thanks Jack,

I will check them out......I think that I can just reuse my old ones. I am currently in the rebuild process and wanted to go back with new and correct parts. The originals won't look as good but they will work.

'66 and '67 Corvette with K-19 (smog Pump) used the same manifold, also 283 , 307, on Pass cars and some trucks, so there are a lot of places to look for good ones.

Same for L-79 and base engine?

            I need one also.

Yes, the exhaust manifolds were the same for all 1966-67 small blocks with K-19.

Will there be any deductions if the original manifolds are painted or dressed with POR15 or any other cast iron dressing?

Yes, to the extent the appearance deviates from the original.

Keith, You say that you're to rebuild your car with "New/ Correct" parts. No such thing! ALWAYS use your old parts and refinish them whenever possible.
