    Duke -

Those are made for AC-Delco by Champion Labs; Paragon did most of the work to set up the program.

I tried to buy a couple about a month ago, but they come by the dozen. I didn't figure I would use a dozen in my lifetime, fo the NOS ones will have to do.

Terry was this an fleet pack by the AC Delco parts store? I bought a fleet pack of AC filters from my AC Delco parts store and the filter cost was about half of what it would cost individually.

I'm not sure how they are packed. I just might bite the bullet for the dozen, just for s)(*_ & giggles. It might be worth it just to answer some of these questions.

I buy all my driver car filters by the case -- no individual boxes -- they come like eggs in a crate. Is tht what you mean?

I bought 3 of them, it took forever to get them. Not exact of course, but they do look good.

Terry I made my first purchase of a fleet pack a few months ago and they came like your described, no individual boxes for each filter and 12 to the case. The parts man said not all AC Delco filters come in a fleet pack.

The UPF filters come six to a cardboard box, and they are packaged in individual boxes -- at least the ones I have purchased come that way. I suppose the less popular filters come the same way.

I guess what surprised my is that this "new" PF25 is being sold through Delco rather than as (or in addition to) a "GM Restoration"part" through resto parts dealers, but then, it has very broad applications - to virtually all Chevrolet model lines.

And, that's probably the reason the General decided to keep the repro as a GM part.

But...I'm afraid it won't last long; Once GM figures out that everyone driving an old Chevy doesn't care what color the filter is, and that volumes are considerably lower than every old Chevy out there, you watch...they'll drop it. Hopefully, then, Paragon will be happy to pick the torch up, pay the licensing fees, and, hopefully, THEY can sell enough to make it worthwhile.

This design of PF-25 was only used in car production from late in the 1972 model year until early in the 1975 model year. The previous design had the embossed words and the next design was blue with a foil label.

I have no idea and am not interesting in buying them. There has always been debate in the Cosworth Vega community as to whether the early '75 models had a white filter. Many of the publicity photos of the engine during the early seventies show a white filter. I now use the PF-454 on my '76 CV and am staying with it.

Being as how this white PF-25 is being sold by Delco dealers, you can probably find a best case price from Delco dealers that sell via the Internet.
