What is recommended shocks for Mid Year?

I've read a couple places that the KYB gives a very nice ride.....

If KYB turns out to be best recommendation, what model/part number?

I've been looking at a KYB GR-2 and the KYB Gas-a-just shocks.....

I'm still open to other brand shock reco's as well. I'm looking for good driver/cruiser ride. Any other required spring or ride changes required with particular shock change?

    Thanks,
    David

Edelbrock makes the classic performer shock, for a '64 they are model numbers:
    Performer red color fnt/rear: 33028-34028
    Classic grey color: 33040-34040

They provide a nice ride and good performance without being too stiff or harsh. KYBs will provide a stiffer ride for slalom racing. I have new set of classics on my '69 427 and I'm very happy with them. They will of course, not pass judging....Don
