Looking for correct Interior paint code for a 1966

I have a forum member that is willing to help me get PPG Lacquer paint but we want to be sure that we get the right color.

I have a 1966 Triple white convertible with Interior code 450, it is all white except for dash board, carpets and seat belts. Carpet and belts are bright blue.

We think the painted section of the dash is Ditzler/ PPG 13228, can anyone help us confirm this.

    Thank you,
    JIM

If this is the same bright blue used in 1965, I have a mixing formula for the paint. I scanned the radio side panel and had it mixed. I was able to spot paint the center dash using it.

Here is a pic of my dash, it doesn't match very well right now IMO or is this as close as I can get ? Thank you

I believe you may be looking at a "reasonable" match as pictured. If you are looking for the eyebrows and center to match, I think you are looking in the wrong direction.

Thanks Bill, I guess I can live with it.

Dick - I've been helping Jim try to settle in on the correct PPG paint code for '66 bright blue interior.

If you don't mind, I'd like to get the formula you used and then see if it's close to either DDL-13069 (what I show as the code for '65 interior medium dark blue) or DDL-13228 (what I show as the code for '66 interior bright blue).

Different codes implies the shade changed between years.

            Thanks Dick, Tim & Jim

                1965 - different?

I do NOT have the data for 1966, but I do have it for 1965.
Both Ditzler and Dupont refer to it as 3 degree paint - refers to gloss level; I believe 60 is full gloss.

Ditzler is 13069; Dupont Lucite is 9223 LH
