    C1 Fuel/Temp Gauges

The temp gauge on my '57 never worked since I got the car. If I replace it with the same gauge from my '56 everything works fine, so the gauge is the problem.
I bought a set of fuel/temp gauges on eBay. I just received them but the temp gauge has only one connector at the rear instead of two. The gauges may be from a '53 or '54. (6 volts?) not sure. How can I make these work on a '57?
    Thanks,
    Pierre

If you have the guage that came with your '57, why not have it rebuilt? Then you can assume it is the correct one for the car(probably has a date in ink on the back side) and you know the condition of it .

53-54 temp. Is not electrical, and all 56 up temp have two post , don't know what you got, but your may have the little wire broken that can be fixed

        David,
Yes I would have it fixed now but the turn around time is about six weeks from most vendors. I would like to use the car this summer so the quick fix was just to replace it untill the Fall when I'll put the car in storage and then send the gauge away to get it fixed.
