69 headlight restoration

Hello friends,
On 69 headlight assemblies, ( other than the headlight covers and bezels ) are the braces, supports, hardware, etc. suppose to be natural, black, or body color ?
Mine is currently body off & parts being painted.

Maybe this will help.

The headlight doors are as cast aluminium with zinc overspray on the sides from spraying the top surfaces and then body color overspray. The doors were painted on the body.
